I have only visited a small part of Mozambique, but the experience was wonderful.
Travelling is quite time consuming, to get to the cost from Maputo I took local taxi vans, but first you need to cross the river with a ferry boat to get to the main taxi area. Time schedules are very unorganized and the trip itself has its unplanned stops here and there, with broken tires and different surprises, but hey it is all part of the adventure;)
The highlight? Definitely the lovely and friendly people, just walk around Maputo and chat to locals, you will really feel at home:)
